Bollywood, Lollywood & together both film and television have leveraged media as a tool given its effectiveness in South Asian audiences, to begin addressing controversial and taboo subjects. This method has allowed for somewhat normalization of discussing domestic violence and begin questioning outdated, traditional norms.
